Something Needs to be Changed

Too many times when we realize something in our lives need to be changed, we try to change everything at once. We want to buy new clothes, get a new hairstyle, change all of our friends and eat at new restaurants. We want to start reading the Bible more, keep a journal and go on a mission trip – and we want to do it all in the next week. You know what happens. We become overwhelmed with our efforts of change and then we become frustrated when the changes don’t go the way we want them to go and ……



Worried About the Economy

Everyone is worried about the economy. Things are slow (OK, that’s a slight understatement) and no one seems to know when they will pick up. We listen to what our leaders have to say. We watch the stock market reports and try to figure out what our own corporations are going to do. Things that we were sure we never happened have happened in this round of economic decline. Church Growth

Recently, the news has been reporting the results of a national survey of religion in America. The big news? 15% of the people interviewed said they had no religion. Those who are against faith touted this as a new marker in the religious life of our nation. This number, 15%, is the highest ever recorded by any survey on faith in America. Finally, the secular press has reported, people are giving up on the irrational belief in God and declaring themselves to be people without faith.
